Have you ever been invited to two weddings that took place on the same day (am selben Tag)?
If yes, I guess it would have been difficult (es wäre schwierig gewesen) to attend both at the same time, right?!
So, being at two weddings at the same time (gleichzeitig) might be difficult , but you may know people (vielleicht kennst du Leute) who always tend to want to do two things at the same time.
Even if (Selbst wenn) they shouldn’t.
Like someone who is “running with the hare and hunting with the hounds”.
Got it?!
So here’s your action step:
Imagine that your German-speaking neighbor Klaus tells you about the new secret project (über das neue geheime Projekt) he started with Microsoft while (während) working at Google at the same time.
Give him a piece of good advice (Gib ihm einen guten Rat) and tell him:
- Klaus, ich finde du solltest nicht auf zwei Hochzeiten gleichzeitig tanzen! (Klaus, I think you shouldn’t run with the hare and hunt with the hounds.)
And this is what it sounds like:
